Getting a Better Nights Sleep – How to Wake Up Feeling Energized!
Sleep deprivation is a common problem these days, with so many people during their waking hours not feeling quite right, and actually very tired from inadequate sleep.
It is imperative not to exercise too close to the time you are going to sleep. Ideally, a person should wait at least three hours from the time they exercise until the time they go to bed. It is far better to exercise earlier in the day, when you have more energy, and feel the adrenalin rush then, than later in the day when you are trying to relax.
Light causes your body to go into wake up mode.
Another important consideration to getting a better nights sleep is to make your bedroom as dark as possible, this includes, shutting the drapes, eliminating artificial light, which also can include your alarm clock. Cover the display with a piece of clothing, pillow, etc. Any artificial light will disrupt your sleep, and prevent you from getting a good nights sleep.
It is also important to avoid drinking caffeine too close to bedtime, in order to get a good nights sleep, caffeinated drinks should not be consumed after 1:00 p. m. This will give your body time to process the caffeine in its system prior to going to bed. If you really would like to improve your sleep quality, cut out all caffeine, and you will notice a marked difference in the quality of your sleep.
Get rid of things that shouldn’t be in your bedroom!
Remove the television from your bedroom, and books, papers, homework, left over office work. These will all prevent you from getting a good nights sleep. This busy work that is left in your bedroom will be a constant reminder of things you need to do, remove these items from your sight, and you will sleep better.
Try to go to sleep at the same time each night, and establish a routine. Your body will become adjusted to this routine and ultimately you will get a good nights sleep.
Just following some of these steps will result in a better nights sleep, and will enable your to feel better during the day.

If you feel tired, you should try standing in place and stretching. This will help your muscles release any tension they have been holding, will help you breathe, and will increase your alertness. This is an easy activity to do no matter where you are: at work, at home, or even in a public place like a mall or bank.
